There will be five (5) weekly winners drawn during the event. The dates of the weekly drawings are July 13, July 20, July 27, August 3, and August 10. Non-winning entries will remain in the prize pool for the remaining drawings. Odds depend on number of eligible entries received. Forty (40) names will drawn weekly and each person will receive a number corresponding with a duck that will race on August 15. One weekly winner will receive $100 in Huron Bucks. The winners of the weekly drawings must be present for the duck race at Splash Central at 10:30am on August 15. Please arrive at 10:00am to check in with Chamber staff. The ducks will be released in the lazy river and the person holding the number of the first duck to reach the finish line will win either $1000 in Huron Bucks; or if that duck matches a randomly preselected number they will win $25,000. Other prizes will be awarded based the order that the ducks pass the finish line. Prizes to be determined by sponsorships offered by local businesses.
Should any winner be unable to accept their prize or be ineligible for some other reason, another name from the registered receipts will be drawn. If a duck racer is unable to attend the event on August 15, the racer may appoint an alternate person to race on their behalf. Prior approval is required with Chamber staff.
All local, state, federal and other taxes, or other fees for prizes awarded become the sole responsibility of the winner.
All entrants and winners agree to allow photo and name to be used for promotional purposes. Winners will be required to sign a Prize Acceptance Agreement.
